Some may have seen the new Ought issue details over on my Instagram account before Christmas but if you missed it please see the Fall issue of ‘Ought the Journal of Autistic Culture’. This issue focuses on ‘Neurodivergent Works in Neurotypical Workspaces’.
Thank you to our cover artist Holly Sheldrake @art.hgs (Instagram) whose powerful piece “Masking with AuDHD” features on this issues front cover. A thank you to all our contributors we couldn’t do this without you. Please follow our contributors accounts where you can.

His position will continued to be covered by Sonya Loftus of ‘Imaging Autism.’ Whose introduction piece you will see in this new issue. Practicalities and New Social Media (SM): All Ought ‘Call’ details will be moving from my pages on to Ought’s new official Twitter/ X account, which can be found here @oughtjournal

There maybe other new Ought SM accounts , on differing platforms, in the future but this is dependent on team capacity so do continue to monitor on Twitter/ X for now. And for those interested in submitting to Oughts next issue which queries ‘Diagnosis, Self-Diagnosis, and Identity’ please see full call details here. Deadline 15th March 2025

On a personal note: I would like to share my deep thanks to Ought’s Editors, Robert & Chris and more and the Editorial Board for giving me such an opportunity - it has been great, sometimes nail biting, but great!! Hopefully everyone’s editorial inboxes recover from my occasional ‘idea’ cascades. And a huge thank you to all our contributors. Many of whom have been generous with their time, work and practices. I’m honoured to have worked with you and have gained many insights from you all.
There is a bounty of phenomenal Neurodivergent creativity out there and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, ever! I believe Ought to be a positive platform, a repository and a launch pad for many an Autistic creative and I look forward to future issues and submitting when I have the chance .
Ought is not what it Ought to be. Very best, PF x
